BAILEY, N.C. — Southern Nash High School will host its first-ever Agriculture Appreciation Night on Friday, Oct. 18, as part of the football game against Rocky Mount High School. The event will celebrate North Carolina’s agricultural heritage while offering the community a chance to connect, learn, and give back.
The evening begins with an Agriculture Expo from 5 to 7 p.m., where students, parents, and community members can engage with local businesses, organizations, and colleges in the agriculture industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore careers, learn about innovations in agriculture, and enjoy free giveaways.
Throughout the football game, several families involved in agriculture will be recognized, and there will be interactive games to keep the crowd entertained.
This year’s event will also feature a new charitable initiative: a pet food donation drive. Southern Nash will collect dog and cat food to support communities in Western North Carolina.
